Public BBQ

A circuit park around a small lake in the heart of Springfield Lakes, with a walking track running the whole way round at about 1.5 km, an easy lap for a morning walk, a jog or a child on a bike. Ducks and water birds are everywhere and there is a long tradition of feeding them, and the lake looks its best at sunrise and sunset. Shaded seating is dotted along the path and an open grassed area gives room to spread out. The playground is small, with a rope climbing structure, and does not offer much beyond that. Tennis courts and public toilets sit a walk away on the other side. Dogs are made very welcome.

Generally No! The BBQs are first come, first serve. However, if you plan on having a larger event then please check with Ipswich council.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
